  • Facilitated monthly by Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center staff Caregiver Workshops (contact ADRC for details on workshop dates, times, locations and topics)
  • Topics related to Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias; other issues pertinent to the disease

Care Counseling

  • Personalized guidance for families regarding issues related to the disease; by phone or in person
  • Help in developing coping skills and strategies for caregivers throughout the disease process

Caregiver Training – “Savvy Caregiver”

  • Six two-hour classes providing skills development for those caring for an adult with a chronic disease

Annual Caregiver Educational Conference

  • A half-day conference featuring a variety of nationally recognized speakers to enhance caregivers’ knowledge and skills regarding patient care

State of Florida Brain Bank Research Program

  • Long-running nationally renowned autopsy program for those with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias
  • Program goals are to provide the family with detailed information and closure regarding the disease, improved treatments and diagnostic tools for professionals and to contribute to research efforts nationally and internationally

Professional Training

  • State of Florida approved “Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia” (ADRD) training for professional caregivers in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, adult daycare, home health and hospice agencies
