Dear Readers,

I am honored to step into the role of Executive Director at the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center.

This new chapter brings me back to my nonprofit and gerontology roots — supporting caregivers and families navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. At ADRC, we walk alongside those caring for their loved ones, helping them find dignity, direction, and hope in the face of a complex journey.

As Executive Director, I lead cross-functional teams to drive program innovation, ensure financial stability, and strengthen operational excellence. My work spans strategic planning, board engagement, legal and government relations, community partnership, and positioning our communications to better tell our story and grow our digital presence.

At the heart of it all, I am focused on empowering caregivers, elevating our mission, and building a sustainable future for dementia support — locally and globally.

Let’s work together to ensure no caregiver walks this road alone.

In this quarter’s issue of Care Partner Connection, we spotlight Cindy Gray, owner of ComForCare Home Care, and a beacon of light in our community.

We are also delving deep into life enrichment for the person living with dementia-related brain changes — whether that’s at home or in a memory care facility.

This newsletter also explores end-of-life care, several studies related to Alzheimer’s and dementia research, and AlzAuthors — a platform that shares dementia-related stories.

We are also participating in the 1905 Family of Restaurants Community Harvest event in September at Columbia Restaurants. This year, the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center is eligible to receive 5% of patron checks at any Columbia restaurant.

Below you will find a list of our upcoming events.

Thank you, so much, for reading!
