The Florida Department of Elder Affairs has specific state-mandated training requirements for all staff in agencies and facilities providing direct care to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.
The Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center offers professional training using materials that meet the requirements established by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA) for staff training on Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders (ADRD) for staff at:
- Adult Day Care Centers
- Nursing Homes
- Assisted Living Facilities
The training is provided by a Florida DOEA-approved representative and is available to agencies/facilities in Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Lake Counties. For those organizations or facilities that have a state-certified trainer on staff, our state-approved curricula are available for purchase for use by your own trainer.
